Juan Carlos Zúñiga is the founder and Managing Partner of Ascend Assurance, LLC. Since the firm’s inception, he has built a diverse client portfolio spanning a wide range of industries. Prior to establishing Ascend Assurance, he worked at some of the largest accounting firms in the industry including a Big Four auditing firm, where he specialized in providing accounting and auditing services to both private and public sector clients. During this time, he developed deep expertise in financial statement audits, Single Audits, and Yellow Book engagements.

With more than 15 years of professional experience, Juan Carlos has also contributed to the advancement of the accounting profession in Puerto Rico. He previously served as a member of the Peer Review Board of Puerto Rico, where he gained in-depth knowledge of audit quality standards. In addition, he served as a Peer Review evaluator for other CPA firms, helping ensure compliance with the highest professional and industry standards.
